A Tribute to Shri Jaya Bhai

With deep sorrow and profound respect, we remember Shri Jayadev Subudhi, who left for his heavenly abode on 6 November 2025. His departure leaves a void that words can scarcely capture, yet his life and legacy continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.

Our association with Jaya Bhai began in 1991, when he visited Singapore and stayed with our family. What began as a simple visit blossomed into a lifelong bond—one rooted in affection, trust, and mutual respect. From that time onward, it often felt as though we lived in each other’s memories but truly in each other’s hearts. Such warmth is rare.

Over the years, we have been embraced by the Subudhi and Patra families, always invited to share in their celebrations, milestones, and sacred occasions. Their generosity of spirit—led by the towering presences of Shri Ladu Gopal Patra and Shri Jayadev Subudhi—reflected a sense of family that extended far beyond blood. These two great souls were not only pillars of their families but also visionaries of Puri, shaping their community with wisdom, compassion, and dedication.

To our children, Jaya Bhai was more than a family friend—he was a gentle guide, an affectionate elder, and a constant source of love. His kindness had a way of touching lives quietly yet deeply, leaving behind memories that will be cherished for generations.

As we bid farewell to this noble soul, we bow our heads in prayer.
May Lord Jagannath, hold him close and grant his soul everlasting peace.
May his journey beyond be as luminous and dignified as the life he lived among us.

Om Shanti.
