During our Grade 9 days, you and I became entangled in an unexpected conflict with outsiders while playing. At that time, I had no idea the matter escalated to Bada Daddy, and you, perhaps intentionally or perhaps unknowingly, did not disclose it. After we get scolding I thought you must have ensured that we both share the heat together rather than facing it yourself.
When I visited your home the next day, we were both appropriately reprimanded. Yet what continues to resonate with me is not the reprimand itself but the leadership behaviour he demonstrated in that moment. Within minutes, he transformed a corrective conversation into a high-impact life learning intellectual dialogue—laying out guiding principles, behavioural expectations, and the essential dos and don’ts that serve as a compass for life. His ability to pivot from discipline to development showcased a rare blend of emotional intelligence, maturity, and foresight.
I still recall that incident with absolute clarity because Bada Daddy treated me not as outsiders, not as children from the neighborhood, but as his own. He upheld accountability with care, correction with compassion, and direction with purpose. His leadership ethos, grounded in integrity and responsibility, has had a profound and ongoing influence on how I approach challenges, decisions, and relationships—even today.
May his noble soul attain वैकुण्ठ लोक. And may the value system he nurtured—anchored in wisdom, discipline, and upliftment—continue to cascade through the lives of everyone who had the privilege of learning from him.
